The certificate in Applied Gerontology is a collaborative UWM Certificate Program, but run by the Helen Bader School of Social Welfare's Department of Social Work. There is a clinical experience including a minimum of 700 supervised clinical hours with this degree, as well as three on-campus sessions, required for this program. The program is implemented in partnership with the Carolinas Healthcare System. Students will be assessed on the basis of completed assignments, examinations, workplace learning, or other methods as outlined in specific subject outlines.
